Lawyers And Accountants Tie The Knot
Two Leading Professional Services Networks are forming a national cross-disciplinary collaboration.
LawNet, the national network for mid-size legal firms, and national accountancy alliance CharterGroup, have struck an affiliation that will connect their 120 member firms, which together have a combined fee income in excess of £400m.
The agreement will see reciprocal referrals and cross-disciplinary training and has been devised to respond to changes in both sectors.
The two networks have similar member profiles and both have mandatory quality standard requirements, which helped in the matchmaking.
“As well as giving new referral routes to members on both sides, it will give every firm a stronger client proposition through the combined know-how of both Groups. There’s also a real opportunity for cross fertilisation of ideas between members through joint training and development,” explained LawNet’s managing director John Thomas.
He added: “It may also be a springboard for member firms looking to create multi disciplinary practices in future.”
For CharterGroup, chief executive Gary Corbett said: “Clients are increasingly looking for a full, one stop service. This alliance allows our members to offer turnkey solutions to their clients on a truly national scale with confidence, knowing that any referral is going to a firm with matching quality standards.”
