Armed with fabrics, trimmings and a measuring tape, your consultation will begin with a lifestyle assessment and body-shape analysis, helping establish suitable cuts, colours and weights of fabric that work for you. Her professional measuring service records up to 15 individual measurements, after which a calico toile (a cotton template of the final garment) is created using your individual body measurements. This process ensures you the best possible fit and full artistic control of your garment and during these stages you can opt to change neck lines, decide on final hems, move waist bands and add detail. Once you are completely satisfied your bespoke garment will be cut, created and delivered to your home or office within a guaranteed 4-6 week – bliss.
The Classics
As we approach the summer months we tend to opt for paler, lighter weighted suit fabrics that can show more signs of creasing and wear. This can be easily overcome by choosing light-weight crepe wools or super light-weight mohair - both of which will guarantee the bounce and durability you are looking to achieve from your garment. Holland and Sherry have also introduced their aptly name fabric bunch ‘Capitana’ this season. This incredible fabric is a blend of wool, polyester and cashmere, designed specifically for ladies on the go, and guaranteed to see you from desk to dinner!
If your job requires you to wear black, why not vary your look by experimenting with textured herringbone, subtle stripes or a touch of cashmere for that feeling of extra luxury?
