Norton Rose wins Best Takaful Law Firm award

International law firm, Norton Rose LLP won Best Takaful Law firm at the International Takaful Summit Awards ceremony on 15 July 2008 at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower Hotel in London. Norton Rose LLP was presented with the award for their contribution to the global takaful and re-takaful industry by developing a leading position in advising major players on both the establishment and structure of their businesses and the development of takaful products in a number of jurisdictions around the world.
Given that the regulation of takaful is at different stages of development in each of the Middle East, Asia and Europe, much of Norton Rose LLP’s work in this area has been pioneering.

This expertise in takaful mirrors Norton Rose’s pre-eminent strength in Islamic Finance. Norton Rose LLP were the winners of 'Best Islamic Finance Law Firm' award at the CPI Islamic Business and Finance Awards 2007 held in Dubai in December. Recently, two deals on which we advised were also awarded Deals of the Year as part of the Islamic Finance News Awards.
