DMH Stallard Excellent Approach To Diversity Recognised

New publication Highlights DMH Stallard’s Excellent Approach To Diversity

London and South East based law firm DMH Stallard is delighted to be featured in the ‘Diverse Britain 2008’ publication. Sponsored by the Home Office and published by St James’s House, this recently launched publication highlights wider efforts on diversity by UK employers from across the private and public sectors.

The DMH Stallard feature explains the firm’s positive approach to diversity and includes the clear benefits of this approach including access to all available talent when recruiting new staff. Once on board, staff benefit from an open and transparent career development process which creates equality of opportunity for everyone with progression based purely on an individual’s skillset.  The ability of DMH Stallard lawyers to quickly understand issues from their client’s perspective is appreciated by clients and this too is supported by the firm’s approach to diversity and openness to different ideas.

A key element of the firm’s ‘Equal Opportunities and Dignity at Work’ training is to respect fellow colleagues regardless of their race, beliefs, gender and sexual orientation. The programme is delivered by the firm’s HR Manager and an Employment  partner and encourages employees  to discuss diversity issues by working through case studies.

Also mentioned in the article is the firm’s participation in several social projects, including its support of local artists through the display of a diverse range of contemporary art in each of its reception areas (London, Gatwick and Brighton). The firm is proud that its regularly changing exhibitions often challenge the views of staff and those visiting its offices. In doing so art encourages an appreciation of different ideas and view, which DMH Stallard see as positive and beneficial.
Commenting on the firm’s approach to diversity Managing Partner Tim Aspinall said “We are delighted to feature in ‘Diverse Britain 2008’ to promote  best practice in diversity and equal opportunities. As a growing and ambitious law firm with over 300 personnel we recognise the importance of a diverse workforce to deliver fresh approaches and new solutions.”
