First national awards for insolvency and rescue sectors
2 July, 2008
The Insolvency and Rescue Awards 2008 is the first set of awards nationally to recognise the very best in the insolvency and rescue sectors. The brand new awards scheme has been launched this week in conjunction with Credit Today, the UK’s leading credit industry magazine title.
The awards are designed to recognise outstanding achievement and reward best practice in a number of categories. They present a real opportunity for winners and nominees to highlight their achievements, as well as to recognise and celebrate successes from the rest of the industry.
Kelly Stanley, spokesperson for the Insolvency and Rescue Awards, says: “The new scheme will reward all stakeholders in the insolvency and recoveries chain, from secured lenders, investors and other funders, small/mid sized and large IPs, legal firms and other suppliers services to IPs. It’s a real opportunity for professionals in these fields to shine.”
Kelly continued: “There’s a great array of different categories for companies to enter. One award in particular that is sure to generate some excitement and much attention is the Special Sabin Award for Outstanding Contribution to the UK Rescue Culture. Nick Sabin himself served the IPA for six years and led the debt management industry towards self-regulation through the Debt Resolution Forum, with the IPA acting as its watchdog. He’s contributed so much to the industry over the years, so to win an award named after him really will be a fantastic achievement and a high accolade indeed for any individual.”
All entries for the awards are free and can be completed online by visiting:www.insolvencyandrescueawards.co.uk. The deadline for entries is 31 July 2008. The final ceremony will be held during a gala dinner at the Grosvenor House, London on 30 October 2008 with an expected audience of 500.
Kamala Panday, publisher of Credit Today, says: “We have put together a panel of judges from highly respected professional bodies, including David Kerr, Chief Executive of the Insolvency Practioners Association, Nick O’Reilly of R3 and Tyronne Courtman of the Turnaround Management Association. We have a robust criteria and will be looking for the best of the best. I believe this is a fantastic opportunity for winners and nominees to demonstrate their achievements.”
There are 19 categories available for nomination within the awards, including:
