Heatons’ growth continues with launch of construction division
Heatons LLP is bucking the economic downturn by launching a construction practice to grow its Real Estate division.
The boutique law firm has hired construction specialist James Flynn who will join the firm as a partner from Addleshaw Goddard, where he was Managing Associate.
James, who spent seven-and-a-half years at Addleshaws, will be using his extensive experience to grow Heatons’ services in this sector, and will be advising developers, contractors, consultants and banks on contentious and non-contentious issues in his new role.
He said: “It’s a difficult time for the property sector at the moment, and Real Estate advisory teams will be suffering. Having said that, this firm seizes opportunities in challenging times, and our view is there is plenty of scope to grow.
“I am looking forward to launching the firm’s construction specialism to enhance its Real Estate practice.”
Managing partner Matt Fleetwood said: “The launch of our construction department is an obvious step for us at this time, as our Real Estate practice is growing.
“James is already proving to be an asset to our growing team.
“This Manchester growth is timely as it coincides with our plans to open a dedicated offering in London, where we already represent a number of clients.”
