Description

Due to expansion, a new opportunity has arisen within a well-established Solicitor’s firm.You will be based in the clinical negligence team, handling own caseload of clinical negligence claims. Duties will include:

Attendance on clients and others in order to take statements, obtain information, make appointments and complete Legal Services Commission (LSC) forms.
Instruction of experts and/or Counsel as appropriate.
Undertake advocacy, where appropriate, in any case or matter.
To ensure monies are obtained from the Legal Services Commission and private clients on account

by interim and final billing.

To draft legal documents as appropriate.
To arrange for filing of documents, service of documents and enforcement as appropriate.
To authorise payment to third parties.

You will be a qualified Solicitor and have a minimum of 2 years experience of handling own caseload of clinical negligence files. Advocacy experience is also required. You will also need a current practising certificate and good management, communication, marketing and organisational skills.
