Turning redundancy nightmares into dreams come true...
21 January, 2009
In the words of America's new President 'It's Time For Change'...

Mayday, Mayday - the legal world is officially nose - diving into the chasm of mass redundancy. Addleshaw Goddard today announced the culling of 19 from partnership. Dentons is looking to make up to 80 staff redundant whilst the seemingly impervious Clifford Chance has announced it is looking to do the same. Sad times.
But wait. What if being made redundant isn't such a curse after all? There's the juicy redundancy package that can see you travelling the World, taking up something you've always wanted to do, re - training in a career you've always felt was right for you (but your family persuaded you that becoming a 'lawyer' as opposed to a trapeze artists was the more sensible thing to do) And then there's all the daytime TV to be watched and mid - morning snacks to be had. Genius.
Over the course of the (nearly) year since our launch, we've heard from a plethora of lawyers that have said 'Sayonara' to their firms to go it alone. In case you need a little inspiration on what to do next, read their stories here: More to Law
We will happily put you in touch with any of these former lawyers should you be looking for guidance or advice on re - training or starting your own business. Email vwozniak@lawandmore.co.uk for all enquiries.
