Legal Support Assistant/Secretary (Part time)
Description
We are ideally looking for a person who has had some secretarial training and/or practical experience. Whilst there will be some audio typing involved, processing general correspondence on behalf of solicitors at this small defendant insurance team in central Bristol, the post involves a high level of administration.
Working on a job share basis, you will provide support from 9am to 5pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays of each week, and some occasional flexibility may be required.
This is an interesting position involving audio typing and data entry duties, preparing documentation via the Firm's case management software systems, as well as billing and time recording duties. There will be diary management and the booking of appointments, as well as phone calls to respond to and so we are looking for a confident and organised individual who has lots of initiative. Competent MS Word and email/internet skills are required and the post offers an opportunity to develop your experience in the legal sector.
The environment is open plan and friendly - sometimes pressurised, but hugely rewarding. The ability to work in a small team and at times, with the minimal of supervision, is required. It is likely that you will have had a couple of years practical office administration/secretarial experience.
Unless otherwise stated, if applying for a job inside the European Union, you must ensure that you are
already authorised to work there.
