Our client is seeking an Employment Solicitor with at least 3 years PQE to join their
busy Employment team at their head office in central London.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an ambitious and expanding practice. In addition to running a challenging caseload of predominantly contentious matters on behalf of employers and employees, you will help to oversee the department in the absence of the partner and be involved in practice development and supervision.
Successful applicants will:
• Be competent in the full range of Employment law matters and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Have significant experience of representing employers and/or employees in contentious matters in a private practice environment.
• Have a proven track record of generating a high level of fee income with a predominantly contentious caseload in a private practice environment.
• Be articulate and confident, with excellent litigation and negotiation skills, a pro active approach to case management and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and help attract new business.
A client following, experience of acting on both sides, non-contentious experience or experience representing claimants under CFAs would be advantageous but are not essential.
The starting salary is negotiable up to £80,000 per annum dependent upon skills, experience and client following, plus bonus linked to fee income. Applicants seeking a salary towards the higher end will be expected to be able to bring a significant following of employer clients.

Our client is now one of London’s leading legal aid law firms. They have established their reputation in protecting the rights of individuals through legal action for over 10 years.
The team now consists of over 30 dedicated professionals, mental health lawyers, community care lawyers, criminal lawyers, employment lawyers, immigration lawyers, property and housing lawyers, many of which deal with private client work.
The firm is now looking to recruit 2 Family Panel Members with SQM Supervisor Standard experience to head up a department.
You will have a minimum of 3 years PQE and already be on the Panel either Family or Childcare.
This is an excellent position for a highly qualified solicitor to mark his or her mark within a legal aid provider.
Excellent salary and benefits on offer! Salary £55k - £60k.
