Blg Announces New Senior Partner Elect

Barlow Lyde & Gilbert LLP (“BLG”) is delighted to announce that Simon Konsta has been elected to the role of senior partner.

Simon, a partner in BLG’s Professional and Financial Disputes team, was appointed following a contested election. He will work closely with BLG’s incumbent senior partner Richard Dedman before officially assuming the post later this year.

Richard Dedman said: “We are proud of the way that our firm has developed in recent years and we are very excited for the future. After seven years at the helm, I think the time is right to hand over to a successor who can build on what we have achieved with fresh perspectives and energies. We have every confidence that Simon will drive the firm forward and lead us to even greater success.”

Simon Konsta said: “I am very honoured to take on the role of senior partner when Richard steps down.

The firm has introduced a series of managerial and staff initiatives, most notably the streamlining of BLG’s management structure and the introduction of the firm’s first non-lawyer chief executive last year.

BLG opened a new office in Singapore in 2004. Complementing the firm’s existing offices in Hong Kong and Shanghai, the Singapore team has significantly enhanced BLG’s service to clients in the Asia Pacific region.
