CJ7

Stephen Chow follows up the phenomenally successful Shaolin Soccer and Kung Fu Hustle with this heart-warming family tale about an underprivileged boy and his pet from outer space. CJ7 is a sweet, funny family film that provides the perfect antidote to summer blockbuster fever.
Dicky Chow lives with his father, a poor labourer, in a run down squat. Whatever he lacks financially, Mr Chow more than makes up for in principles, leading an honest, upstanding life. Dicky’s world is turned upside down when a space alien takes a shine to him and shares its magical powers. Whether it is achieving academic success or standing up to the wealthy children who bully Dicky, CJ7 seems to have come to the rescue. Sadly, not everything is as straightforward as it might seem and there are some valuable life lessons to be learnt.
