Following on from the success of The Well in St John Street, Clerkenwell, brothers Tom and Ed Martin opened The White Swan Pub and Dining Room. Formerly the Mucky Duck and located in Fetter Lane, EC4, The White Swan Pub and Dining Room reverted to its original name and spread its wings across three floors, to house a ground floor pub with a mezzanine level and a first floor dining room. Serving the best in modern British cuisine, dishes on the dining room menu might include rabbit rillette with onion confit and cornichons; roast partridge with a quince choux farci and juniper gravy; fricassee of monkfish with fennel, chervil and truffle oil; as well as blood orange marmalade sponge pudding with custard for dessert.
The pub menu changes daily and includes a mixture of classics and old favourites, such as pheasant pie; braised pig’s cheeks with horseradish mash; skate wing with beurre noisette.
