August 2007 opened Moroccan restaurant nestled in a back alley in Bishopsgate. Swathed in luxurious reds and golds, this basement space is an unlikely addition to the City restaurant scene but manages to pull of it’s Sultan’s Palace décor thanks to it’s great dishes which are impeccable. It’s lack of natural sunlight makes boudoir-esque Kenza a strange choice for lunch as you’ll probably emerge mole-eyed and drowsy but by night it’s a exotic, candle-light flickering oasis amidst the corporate high rises of Liverpool Street.
