With the recent arrival of executive chef Shay Cooper, the décor is not the only thing getting a new lease of life at the über chic new Bingham Restaurant.
Having undergone a complete makeover, this elegant eatery is now open with new lunch and dinner menus showcasing the best in seasonal British cuisine alongside fine wines and an array of regional cheeses.
Situated in the Bingham Hotel in Richmond upon Thames, one of England’s most enchanting boutique Georgian properties, the restaurant benefits from an enviable riverside position offering breathtaking views.
Redesigned by the Bingham owners working alongside specialists Caulder Moore, the new interior is a contemporary twist on the building’s refined history. Muted gold against biscuit shades enhance the original features to create a graceful ambience. Motifs from nature adorn the walls and soft furnishings whilst large windows draw the outside in and make the most the breathtaking vista.
Seating has been carefully considered to create desirably intimate areas without detracting from the overall space, and for warmer nights, the restaurant also benefits from a balcony providing the perfect setting for couples to watch river life unfold. The subtle opulence and modern comfort of the Bingham Restaurant make this an ideal destination throughout the day and into the evening.
Cuisine
Formerly the AA rosette-winning head chef at Olga Polizzi’s Hotel Endsleigh and prior to that senior sous chef at the Michelin-starred Juniper in Altrincham, Shay Cooper draws on his extensive experience to create sensational seasonal British food. Aside from the a la carte menus, guests can also make the most of a delicious breakfast offering and a fantastically priced set lunch at just £19.50 for two courses and £23 for three.
