Geronimo Inns, the award winning pub group that specialises in delivering high quality food in individual surroundings launches its most ambitious London pub to date, The Betjeman Arms, at St. Pancras station in March 2008.
The Betjeman Arms seats 140, has a private dining room (seating 20) and includes six clearly defined spaces each offering an individual feel. The remarkable Grade-I listed building features a wonderful south facing terrace and a terrace inside the 100ft high Barlow Shed overlooking the nearby Eurostar platforms. The Betjeman Arms will cater for travellers serious about food, wine and ale who enjoy comfortable, informal yet stylish surroundings.
Under the guidance of recently installed Director of Food Ben Maschler (formerly Soho House UK), The Betjeman Arms offers traditional British pub food; simply constructed and effectively delivered.
Maschler’s menu at The Betjeman Arms primarily focuses on regional British classics: Lancashire Hotpot, Welsh rabbit,Steak & Ale Pie and Bangers & Mash, with pork sausages sourced from Artisan butchers in Devon.
Varieties of cider and real ales complement The Betjeman’s wine list, put together by John Clevely, Master of Wine. Clevely has focused on providing a wide variety of individual wines, typical of the region and its grape varieties. Examples
