1 Lombard Street celebrates 10th anniversary like it’s 1998

Throughout August, 1 Lombard Street, the Michelin starred restaurant and brasserie, is offering a menu of signature dishes at 1998 prices, in celebration of its 10th anniversary.

Executive chef Herbert Berger, who also celebrates his 40th year in the catering industry this year, will include some of his most acclaimed dishes that featured on the opening day menus of both the 1 Lombard Street brasserie and the Michelin starred fine dining restaurant.

Herbert Berger said, “A fair amount has changed in the City in the past 10 years and the restaurant scene in no exception. A 10 year anniversary is a milestone for any business, especially in the catering trade.

“To celebrate our birthday, we want to bring a smile to the city by putting together a menu of our classics at 1998 prices.  Given that we are located in the heart of the Square Mile, it only seems fitting that we should defy the credit crunch and rising inflation as part of the celebrations.”

Often referred to as the ‘City canteen’, 1 Lombard Street will offer anniversary menus in both the brasserie and Michelin starred fine dining room for the month of August.

In addition, on 12 August all diners at 1, Lombard Street will receive a complimentary glass of champagne to celebrate the anniversary.
