Christmas Three

Our Christmas boxes feature small, whole cheeses which look great and will keep well – if they're allowed to!  This one has three.  We've gone to some of our favourite Westcountry makers and picked out great cheeses we're confident you'll love, then put them together so that they compliment each other.

The Christmas Three contains:

- A firm cows' milk cheese.  We'll be choosing from Godminster Cheddar, Menallack, Curworthy, Miss Muffet and Smarts;

- A great blue: either Dorset Blue Vinney or Cornish Blue;

- A small organic brie – either from Daisy and Co. or Simon Weaver.

That's 1-1.1kg cheese in total.

Christmas Four

Our Christmas boxes feature small, whole cheeses which look great and will keep well – if they're allowed to!  This one has four.  We've gone to some of our favourite Westcountry makers and picked out great cheeses we're confident you'll love, then put them together so that they compliment each other.

The Christmas Four contains:

- Firstly, a firm cows' milk cheese.  We'll be choosing from Godminster Cheddar, Menallack, Curworthy, Miss Muffet and Smarts;

- A great blue: either Dorset Blue Vinney or Cornish Blue;

- A small organic brie – either from Daisy and Co. or Simon Weaver

- For the fourth cheese we'll go for something completely different! Vergin and Meldon both have added flavour – stem ginger in the first, ale and mustard in the second.  We're also using an excellent goats' cheese, Woolsery, and Boyton, which uses ewes' milk.

The exact quantity of cheese will vary but should be between 1.4-1.5kg.

Our Christmas boxes feature small, whole cheeses which look great and will keep well – if they're allowed to!  This one has five.  We've gone to some of our favourite Westcountry makers and picked out great cheeses we're confident you'll love, then put them together so that they compliment each other.

The Christmas Five contains:

- Firstly, a firm cows' milk cheese.  We'll be choosing from Godminster Cheddar, Menallack, Curworthy, Miss Muffet and Smarts;

- A great blue: either Dorset Blue Vinney or Cornish Blue;

- A small organic brie – either from Daisy and Co. or Simon Weaver;

- For the fourth cheese we'll go for something completely different! Vergin and Meldon both have added flavour – stem ginger in the first, ale and mustard in the second.  We're also using an excellent goats' cheese, Woolsery, and Boyton, which uses ewes' milk;

- Finally, we'll add another soft cheese: either a Vulscombe (goat), or the gorgeous Mrs Finns.

Remember – we'll always give you a good mixture!  You'll never get two blues, two goats or anything like that.

The exact quantity of cheese will vary but should be between 1.5-1.6kg.

CHRISTMAS HAMPER

Christmas Cheese Hamper

This is based on our regular Cheese Hamper, but this Christmas we've gone back to the drawing board and added a few festive touches.

Small, whole cheeses are the starting point, and your hamper can have either 3, 4 or 5 of these (for more details see the Christmas Three, Christmas Four and Christmas Five).  We've made our choice for these boxes on the basis of quality and variety – so you can be sure of great cheese … and plenty of contrast!

But man cannot live but cheese alone, even if it would be fun trying.  So we've added:

Luscombe Elderflower bubbly, 745cl
Otter Vale Cranberry & Red Onion relish, 280g
Bath Oliver biscuits, 200g
Roskilly's Stem Ginger Fudge, 100g
Fruit and Spice Chilli Chocolate*, 100g
2 packets Burts Potato Chips.

*From South Devon Chilli Farm, this is guaranteed to get people's interest: gorgeous dark chocolate with just enough chilli and spices added to warm you up on a cold winters' day!

TWO HEARTS

Two hearts for the Cheese Lover in your life - and you, of course:

400g Godminster Vintage Organic Cheddar
200g White Heart

Godminster's Vintage Organic Cheddar has been a favourite of ours since the Cheese Shed started, and this is the heart-shaped version, naturally sporting their trademark deep red wax.  The other one is no less wonderful: if you've looked around the site you'll have read my ravings about the brilliant White Nancy, one of the sweetest, creamiest goats cheeses around.  We've recommended this to numerous people and  it always goes down well.  White Heart is a 200g version of the same cheese.

Your Two Hearts will come bedded down in straw in a red version of our Posh Box.
