First Listing of Chinese Company on Paris Alternext Market

Taylor Wessing France advises on the first listing of a Chinese company on the Paris Alternext market

China Corn Oil, the first Chinese company to be admitted to the Alternext Market of NYSE Euronext Paris, will be listed today, Tuesday March 25, at 3.30 pm (Paris time) valued at €85 million. This listing is of prime importance for the Parisian Market since it demonstrates the attractiveness of the French market for Chinese companies. For this reason, the event will be marked by a rare ceremony chaired by Jean-François Théodore, Deputy Managing Director of NYSE Euronext.

China Corn Oil supplies more than 35% of the corn oil on sale in China's domestic market.

Alain de Foucaud, partner responsible for Taylor Wessing’s stock exchange regulatory department in France, headed the Paris-based team advising on the transaction, which comprised Jian Xu Huang, Jérôme Lemercier and Frédéric Levy.

Alain de Foucaud, who will give a speech during the listing ceremony considered, according to certain authorized observers, as the event of the year, commented: “This entry into Alternext constitutes a major event; not just for the company China Corn Oil, but also for the Parisian market place, demonstrating the interest and appeal it holds for Chinese companies”.
