Taylor Wessing advises on second Chinese IPO on Alternext

After China Corn Oil, Taylor Wessing acts for real estate developer Huacheng

Taylor Wessing has confirmed the leading position of its stock exchange regulatory department with respect to Chinese companies in its most recent deal. Two weeks after the listing of food processing company, China Corn Oil, the European law firm has advised the real estate group, Huacheng Real Estate, on its admission to the Alternext Market of NYSE Euronext Paris on Tuesday April 8 (first listing at 3.30 pm), valued at €165 million.

Huacheng Real Estate is a real estate developer, the operational headquarters of which are based in Shangyu City. Its business is the development, sales and management of real estate complexes in Shanghai and its neighbouring provinces. The group was founded in 1995 and has experienced phenomenal growth, based on a strategy of brand name quality products and services with the aim of “building a better life for the ordinary people in China”.

Alain de Foucaud, Partner and head of Taylor Wessing's stock exchange regulatory department in France, led the Paris-based team advising Huacheng, which also comprised lawyers Jian Xu Huang, Jérôme Lemercier and Frédéric Levy.
